Dear employers,
I can't play your application-fitting game anymore.
At first, I thought it was just harmless fun. We flirted, I threw out some of my best lines to impress you.
You negged me, challenging me to be more. Perhaps I even grew a little. But over time, I realized I was never going to be enough for you.
Because I'm just too much to fit into your little JD box.
I joke about the ridiculousness of life. I rant about peeves that get under my skin. I rave about the things that I learn and love.I philosophize about everything that moves me.
And I will never make myself smaller to please you.
So no, I won't niche down. No, I won't pick a lane. No, I won't perform tricks for treats.
But I will keep showing up. As my whole authentic self. Every day. Despite your disdain.
Because even though you might still be hiring and promising top-dollar, I'm still out here looking for the place to deliver results without compromises.
